‘Sister Wives’: Robyn Brown’s Instagram Post About Karma Comes Back to Bite Her

Before leaving social media, Sister Wives star Robyn Brown regularly used her Instagram to post inspirational quotes about life, her romance with Kody, and items related to the series. However, there’s one 2019 post about the ramifications of karma that continues to get fans fired up.

To clarify, this post landed square in the middle of the families settling into their new home state. It was a year before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic completely split the polygamous clan apart. The social media repost and Robyn’s commentary reveal where her head was at the time.

The Instagram post stated, “What you do will be done to you. How you deal with others is how you will be dealt with.”

It continued, “If you wish harm upon others, you wish harm upon yourself. And if you wish good upon others, you wish good upon yourself.” To comment, Robyn wrote, “The laws of energy and the universe.”

‘Sister Wives’ fans had a lot to say about this particular post

Robyn hasn’t posted any new content to her Instagram page since March 2019. Although this post was generated six years ago, it continues to gain traction from Sister Wives fans.

Followers were quite vocal in their dislike of Robyn posting this particular quote from a relative of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. They believed that in light of how Robyn reportedly manipulated Kody Brown, causing him to effectively leave behind Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown, as well as their children for her benefit, it hasn’t aged well.

One Instagram user claims, “So you manipulating Kody and the wives until you got Kody all to yourself is what you wanted from the start. That will all come back on you in full force. You will be back to being a single mom and broke. It’s coming at some point.”

“Well you are in trouble I would be terrified if I were you,” a second noted.

A third joked, “When words come back to slap you.” A fourth viewer concluded, “This is priceless. Did you SERIOUSLY post this??!”

In the years following this post, a lot has been said about Robyn Brown

Since 2019, Robyn Brown’s role in the Sister Wives family has been associated with significant shifts. These included the departure of Kody’s other wives, financial challenges, and the disassociation of her and Kody’s family from the rest of the polygamist clan.

Throughout 2020, Robyn and Kody sealed themselves to one another as monogamists, pushing away other family members, and using the pandemic as an excuse. Thus, they chose not to find ways to acceptably gather together and remain healthy.

Robyn claims she does not rule the roost in her home, and she follows Kody’s lead. She should have encouraged Kody to cease alienating his 13 children with Meri, Janelle, and Christine Brown and open up a pathway to healing their relationships.

Kody’s mistreatment of his original three wives and comparing them to Robyn caused them to reevaluate their unions and leave him. Subsequently, their children appear to lay the blame for the family’s dissolution at Robyn and Kody’s feet, citing their inability to let anyone into their family circle.

Today, Janelle and Christine remain close, as do their children. Meri appears to have reconciled with both women, but they do not socialize regularly. Robyn and Kody live on their own with their children in Flagstaff, Arizona, buying a new home worth $2.1 million and are estranged from the rest of the Brown family.

The Brown family is no longer practicing polygamy. The show’s 19th season has served as a breakdown of how and why things went wrong between Kody Brown and his three ex-wives, particularly his first wife, Meri Brown. In a recent episode, Kody Brown admitted to feeling a bit offended by Meri’s post-legal-divorce behavior. He recalled his first wife refusing to allow him to see her naked after they agreed to legally split, although they claimed to be spiritually still wed at that point. Meri has a very different take on the situation.

Kody Brown has spent years insisting he didn’t love Meri Brown. He’s lambasted her for her behavior, claiming she made him feel “unsafe.” Still, the father of 18 was offended when Meri refused to let him see her naked. He said he would often walk into her home, and if she were in any state of undress, she would quickly cover herself. He insists he found the action strange. Frankly, he seemed downright offended.

Kody might have been offended by the alleged change in Meri Brown’s behavior. Still, Meri was baffled by his take on the situation. In her own confessional, Meri questioned why she would “expose herself” to Kody when she and her ex-husband were not having a sexual relationship at that point. She went on to say she believed it was perfectly natural to avoid allowing Kody to see her undressed. After all, she mused, they were not engaged in a traditional romantic partnership.

During the Dec. 29 episode of Sister Wives, Meri was livid at Kody for discussing their sex life. She was even more annoyed that he would make up such a story. In the episode, Kody claims that he and Meri made love following their legal divorce. She insisted she and Kody were very much not physical with each other by the time they agreed to divorce.

Meri has admitted to the lack of physical intimacy several times over the years. Still, the mother of one has made it clear that she’d prefer not to talk about sex. During a recent interview with Us Weekly, Meri said she’d prefer not to talk about sex or finances on Sister Wives. Both topics have come up regularly.

Still, things were apparently far worse than what viewers were initially privy to. In a recent episode, Meri Brown revealed that Kody Brown threatened her years ago, and he apparently tried to make good on those threats.

In the Jan. 5 episode of Sister Wives, Meri Brown opened up about just how disastrous her marriage to Kody Brown was. She revealed to a friend that Kody Brown had threatened her in 2011. The former polygamist told Meri that he was going to be “horrible” to her for 20 years because he found her “difficult” to live with for most of their marriage. She claims Kody insisted she was “mean” and that he planned to spend 20 years being mean to her as payback. Only then, she said, would he consider working on their marriage.

Meri’s friend, Jenn Sullivan, who has garnered a fanbase of her own during her recent appearance on the show, was appalled. She wondered how Kody could make such a bold threat. Meri made light of the situation, joking that the “joke” was on Kody because she didn’t stick around long enough for him to make good on his threat.

Meri revealed Kody made the threat in 2011 when the family moved from Lehi, Utah, to Las Vegas, Nevada. She announced the end of her marriage in 2023. Technically, Kody only got the chance to be “horrible” to her for 12 years. Still, twelve years was far too long to put up with Kody Brown.

Meri, who often lashed out at viewers who called her desperate and pathetic, has finally gained the insight to see where they might have been coming from. In the same episode, Meri admitted she can see why viewers were so frustrated that she hadn’t taken the hint. Still, she insists she was trying to “make the best of it” and give Kody time to figure things out.

Meri announced the end of her marriage in January 2023, although she moved away from Flagstaff months before that. Since then, she’s settled into her new home in Parowan, Utah, and is dating. She had a brief relationship that didn’t work out. Still, the reality TV star appears to be enjoying her freedom and is hopeful about what is to come. She said she is committed to making the rest of her life better than the last 20 years of her marriage. She appears to be following through on that promise.

Dr. Younan Nowzaradan has a new TV home. For more than a decade, the Houston-based weight-loss surgeon has starred in TLC’s My 600-lb Life, which profiles morbidly obese patients on their weight-loss journey. Now, he has a new reality show, The 6000-lb Diaries, which airs on Lifetime.

The 6000-lb Diaries premiered Jan. 6 on Lifetime. The show has a similar concept to My 600-lb Life. Each of the 10 episodes will follow a severely obese person as they fight for a chance to live the life they really want. The stories will be “exciting and very interesting,” Dr. Now promised in an Instagram video announcing the new series.

“Reaching a combined weight of more than 6,000 pounds, and at an extreme breaking point, these individuals are turning to weight loss authority Dr. Now, and his team of specialists, to get life-changing bariatric surgery and acquire the tools they need to deal with emotional eating,” according to Lifetime’s description of the show. “Through intimate diary cams and confessionals, each episode highlights one person’s comprehensive experience as they share intimate inner thoughts, emotional and physical struggles, and their ultimate journey to take back their lives.”

Episode 1 focused on a 25-year-old woman named Chelsey, who has struggled with her weight since she was a child. (She actually was a patient of Dr. Now’s when she was teen.) Now, Chelsey is finally at a point where she’s ready to make a change. But is she really ready to commit to taking the steps that could transform her life?

New episodes of The 6000-lb Diaries air on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime.

New episodes of ‘My 600-lb Life’ are airing on TLC

Viewers who can’t get enough of Dr. Now’s no-BS approach to health and weight loss are in luck. In addition to The 6000-lb Diaries, a new season of My 600-lb Life premiered on TLC on Jan. 1, with episodes airing weekly at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Wednesdays. Episodes also stream on discovery+ and Max.

So, how do the competing weight-loss shows compare? So far, only one episode of The 6000-lb Diaries has aired, but many viewers commenting on Reddit had a favorable response, with several people calling it more positive than the original show. Other fans were just happy that Dr. Now — who is 80 years old — hadn’t stepped away from TV.

“I love how there were rumors of retirement & you hit us with not only a new season of 600lb life, but a whole new show too! Way to go doc!!” one person commented on Instagram.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s story continues. The convicted murderer turned reality TV personality will once again invite viewers into her life in another season of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup. Season 2 premieres in March 2025 on Lifetime.

Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup Season 2 premieres Monday, March 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. A catch-up special, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup: The Unseen Footage, will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

The new season will continue to follow Gypsy’s “complex life after prison” and her “emotionally charged journey as she navigates her newfound freedom, rebuilds relationships, handles pregnancy, and new motherhood, all while remaining on parole,” according to Lifetime.

In season 2, Gypsy has divorced her first husband, Ryan Anderson, and rekindled her romance with her former fiancé Ken Urker. Amid intense public scrutiny, the couple prepare to welcome their first child while also grappling with the realities of post-prison life. Gypsy struggles to deal with the constraints of life on parole. At the same time, she’s facing a major life change as she prepares to become a mom. That evolution is particularly complicated given the years of abuse Gypsy experienced at the hands of her own mother.

Gypsy Rose opens up about reactions to her pregnancy

In a sneak peek (via YouTube) at the new season of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup, Gypsy opens up about her pregnancy. She explains that in Louisiana, where she currently lives, the law presumes that her ex Ryan is her baby’s father because they were still married when she conceived.

“I wish that she had gotten through this divorce process before this happened,” Ken says.

To prove he is the father of the baby, Gypsy’s husband-to-be undergoes a paternity test.

“The test is less for the public and more for Ryan to say, ‘Hey dude, you’re not the father. Accept it and move on,’” Gypsy explains.

Proving her baby’s paternity isn’t the only challenge Gypsy is facing. She’s also confronting public criticism of her decision to have a child.

“I’m already seeing comments online saying that it should have been a condition of my parole to get my tubes tied,” she says.

Gypsy, 33, gave birth to her first child, a girl named Aurora, on Dec. 28. That’s one year to the day that she was paroled from prison.

“Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all,” Urker captioned an Instagram photo of Gypsy cradling their newborn.

Unsurprisingly, Gypsy has said she plans to take a very different approach to parenting compared to her mom. Dee Dee Blanchard is believed to have had Munchausen syndrome by proxy. That led her to subject Gypsy to a variety of painful and unnecessary medical procedures.

“All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby,” Gypsy told People after she announced her pregnancy. “My mother told me I was never going to get married, raise a family, have kids or do any of that. So, to be here, standing on my own two feet and expecting my first baby, that’s something I’ve reached as an achievement and a personal goal.”

“I thank God every day that I am now having this second chance at life with a kid of my own,” she added. “The way my mother parented me is definitely not the way I’m going to be. We always say for the next generation, we want to be better than we were raised. And so, for me, I think that couldn’t be any more truthful.”

Why Karen Huger Is Skipping the ‘RHOP’ Season 9 Reunion

Karen Huger is sitting this one out. On Thursday, Bravo revealed the seating chart for The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 reunion, and Huger was noticeably absent. Now, she’s confirmed that she will not be at the reunion following her December 2024 DUI conviction.

On Dec. 18, a Maryland jury found Huger guilty on multiple charges, including DUI and negligent driving, following a March 2024 car crash in Potomac, Maryland. She is facing up to two years in prison and is set to be sentenced on Jan. 29.

While the rest of the RHOP cast is in New York for the reunion taping, Huger has opted to step away from the cameras in light of her personal problems, her representative said.

“Karen made the important decision to enter a private recovery program, so was unable to attend the reunion taping today,” Huger’s manager Ryan Tresdale told Bravo’s The Daily Dish on Jan. 9. “She was fully supported in this choice. We stand behind Karen as she embarks on this meaningful journey and are proud of her for taking such a significant step forward in her personal growth.”

Huger’s car accident and subsequent DUI charges were a prominent storyline on RHOP Season 9, though Huger was reluctant to discuss the incident in detail. But that didn’t stop her fellow housewives from chattering about the situation. Some felt that the show’s grande dame needed to step up and take accountability for her actions – and make a serious effort to get sober.

“I really think that we need to take her to rehab. We think she needs help,” Mia Thornton said in an RHOP episode that aired in early November.

“She’s endangering people’s lives,” Jacqueline Blake added.

Thornton has apparently gotten her wish that Huger seek help. But not everyone is pleased. Some fans felt that Huger was dodging tough questions by skipping the reunion.

“Karen if u skip the reunion that’s disappointing… you were on our screens saying u will be vindicated now u are no way to be found to explain yourself,” one person commented on Instagram.

However, even though Huger will be a no-show on the reunion couch, we expect her situation to be a topic of discussion among the other attendees. Thornton has snagged a coveted spot next to host Andy Cohen, with Gizelle Bryant on his other side. Wendy Osefo is seated next to Thornton, followed by newcomer Stacey Rusch. Ashley Darby is next to Bryant, followed by Keiarna Stewart, who is also new to RHOP this season.

Bravo has not announced an air date for The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 9 reunion.

Jana’s recent videos are being viewed as proof that she iced Jill Dillard out.

When Jana Duggar released the first pictures of her wedding day, family followers quickly noticed something was amiss. Jill Dillard was not a member of the bridal party. Instead, she attended the wedding as a guest. When asked later by a fan why she was not a bridesmaid, Jill replied that she was unsure. She went on to say that it was entirely up to the bride who she wished to include in her special day.

Initially, it looked like Jill was not the only one left out. Both Josie Duggar and Jennifer Duggar did not appear in official photos either. Jana’s most recent YouTube upload revealed that Jennifer and Josie were included in the event, albeit not as bridesmaids. Instead, they appeared to have been tasked with managing the bevy of flower girls who were a part of Jana’s big day. They walked down the aisle with the tots. With Josie and Jennifer’s roles revealed it has become clear that Jill was the only Duggar sister who did not have an active role in Jana Duggar and Stephen Wissmann’s wedding.

The bridal party snub isn’t the only issue. Aside from not being a part of the bridal party, it appears that Jill and her family were an afterthought at the big event, too. While several of her siblings were included in the wedding, Jana had 10 brothers and some of their spouses who did not have an active role. As is traditional, they were seated in the first few rows for the ceremony. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were sitting with some of their children in the front row. Several adult Duggars were sitting close by in the second row.

Jill and Derick Dillard were the only Duggar couple not seated in the first few rows for the ceremony. The couple sat several rows back and away from the rest of the family. Still, it’s unclear whose choice that may have been. The couple’s seats and Jill’s exclusion from the wedding party seem to suggest a rumored rift between the two sisters is very much a reality.

Before Jill and Derick opted to set boundaries with the Duggar family, Jill and her older sister appeared close. Jana even served as Jill’s maid of honor at her 2014 nuptials. They, however, have not been spotted together in any significant way in several years. Jill later admitted that she maintains relationships with some siblings but not others. Jana may be one of the siblings she’s no longer connected to.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Jennifer Aydin apparently made a huge mistake when she walked into a Jersey Mike’s location. A tantrum inside the chain sandwich shop has gone viral, and it’s reportedly affecting every facet of her life, including her marriage to plastic surgeon Bill Aydin. Let’s take a look at exactly what went down between the Real Housewives of New Jersey star and the employees of Jersey Mike’s.

Jennifer Aydin is used to getting what she wants when she wants it. When two Jersey Mike’s employees didn’t build her sandwiches how she wanted, she decided to whip out her camera and record her meltdown. Aydin, never one to read the room, then took that recording to Instagram, where she told her 500,000 followers that the employees at the sandwich chain refused to serve her, acted rudely, and took forever to put her order together. She even criticized the “hater” in line behind her during her rant.

The upload did not go as planned. The backlash was swift. While Aydin seemed to think she was justified in berating Jersey Mike’s employees, her Instagram followers were not amused, and apparently, neither was her husband. During a chat with Page Six, Aydin admitted her husband, Bill Aydin, is pretty pissed off about the situation. According to Aydin, he told her not to post the video to Instagram. Bill Aydin, however, was on hand during the incident. He did not intervene.

While Jennifer Aydin got her side of the story out first, followers were confident there was more to the story. They didn’t need to wait long to confirm that more was happening behind the scenes. A Jersey Mike’s employee tasked with helping Jennifer Aydin during the “incident” took to TikTok to set the record straight. She did not hold back.

The employee, whose video quickly went viral, said Aydin’s recollection of events was inaccurate. The employee noted that they were understaffed when Aydin walked in. She said the reality TV star was holding up the line when they told her she’d need to move to the back of the line for any additional sandwiches. According to the employee, that is when Aydin flipped out and threatened to sue after revealing she was a “celebrity.” Before that, Aydin allegedly changed their bread choice multiple times at the last minute and could not figure out what she actually wanted to order. The employees of Jersey Mike’s had one piece of advice for Jennifer Aydin: they suggested she learn how to order food properly.

Everyone is weighing in on the drama now

Jennifer Aydin still insists that she was not rude to the employees of Jersey Mike’s, despite there being video evidence of her being rude. Still, it seems her freakout has far-reaching consequences. After the employee’s retort video went viral, Aydin was nixed from a fan event. She will no longer appear at the ‘Wives on the Waves” getaway slated to set sail in September. Her co-stars are weighing in, too.

Margaret Josephs and Danielle Cabral have both spoken about the situation. Josephs said she had “second-hand embarrassment” for Aydin during an appearance on Sirius XM’s Reality Checked. Cabral, who has battled many times with Aydin, called her out, too.

Josephs and Cabral, who had plenty of run-ins with Aydin during The Real Housewives of New Jersey, aren’t the only ones weighing in. Dorinda Medley, who appeared on a different Real Housewives installment, also spoke out against Aydin when she visited Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea. Medley called the entire ordeal offensive and said Aydin could not have behaved worse. She went on to say she could not understand what Aydin was thinking.

Tigerlily hasn’t posted publicly about her pregnancy or baby on social media. But in a clip from the upcoming tell-all (via YouTube), which airs Jan. 12, she confirms that she recently gave birth.

In the video, Adnan walks off stage after getting into an argument with the other cast members about whether he was silencing his wife. Tigerlily said there wasn’t any truth to that.

“I say what I want to say,” she replied.

But not everyone was convinced that Tigerlily was as free as she claimed. Brian compared the outfit she was wearing to a burka.

“You’re like, ankles to wrist and to neck,” he pointed out.

Tigerlily defended her conservative look, saying that she had given birth not long ago and wanted to wear something more comfortable.

“You guys know I just had a baby,” she said. “So I’m not, like, 100% comfortable with myself. Nothing to do with Adnan. I’m not confident enough right now to go and wear some body-con dress.”

If she had wanted to wear a figure-hugging dress, Adnan wouldn’t have minded, the handwriting expert added.

“I wear stuff like that,” she said. “I wore stuff like that pregnant. I wore stuff like that.”

Kody Brown decided early on that Robyn Brown was his No. 1 wife

Robyn and Kody Brown spiritually wed in 2010. At the time, Kody was legally married to Meri Brown and spiritually wed to Janelle and Christine Brown.

He was a father to 13 children before Robyn entered the picture. She added three children from a prior marriage and shared two biological children with Kody.

Kody favored Robyn early on in their relationship. The television series only captured a small window into the family’s life. Therefore, it’s unclear if the other women were truly unhappy about the shift in Kody’s attention.

However, Christine and Janelle were captured on separate occasions speaking about how the family had changed. But since the Browns were depicted as a cohesive family unit, fans early on could have chalked up their chatter to jealousy.

Kody maintained there were no favorites, but he spent an unequal amount of time at Robyn’s. As the years unfolded, Robyn became Kody’s legal wife and his clear co-dependent favorite to the detriment of his other relationships.

Now, during season 19, Robyn is Kody’s only wife. In different ways, Meri, Janelle, and Christine were pushed out of Kody’s life. But Kody wasn’t the only one at fault for the family breakdown.

Does Kody miss interacting with his extended family, or the family experience?

It was apparent when Kody and Robyn Brown attended Gwendolyn’s bridal shower that they were uncomfortable around the extended family. He shared the same feelings on camera after attending his son Logan’s wedding.

However, when presented with the opportunity to be with his extended family members, after the initial fear of contracting coronavirus (COVID-19) died down, Robyn and Kody continued to distance themselves from the larger family. The series featured multiple instances where attempts were made to include them and their children, only to be shot down.

Ironically, he and Robyn parrot each other when they talk about missing the family experience. They never talk about missing specific people in the family.

Instead, Kody and Robyn wanted conditional love and respect, expecting something from the people they were supposed to care about. Therefore, they likely regret dismantling their family from a financial perspective, but not a personal one.

Viewers believe that Kody and Robyn Brown broke the family

Fans spoke out on Reddit after Kody and Robyn Brown had their umpteenth discussion as to why he won’t reconcile with Janelle and Meri Brown. Kody appeared frustrated at Robyn for trying to lead him back into relationships with women with whom he was estranged.

“So do we think Kody is finally starting to regret his decision to burn down his entire family for one woman? He can’t understand why Robin is still sobbing over him working it out with the family when he thought just the two of them was what she wanted all along. He achieved their goal,” wrote one follower.

“I’ve always believed Robyn’a priorities when marrying Kody were to acquire financial security, tolerate him, and tolerate the family. She’s never seemed as crazy about him as he is about her. She seems happy to be showered with adoration but she’s very stingy returning it unless she’s getting something out of it,” deduced a second viewer.

A third fan penned, “That’s why their relationship works. He was used to the women competing for his love and attention and Robyn flipped the tables. Now he’s constantly competing for her love and approval and facing a player who plays the game better than he does.”
